Bastion was smarter than most ever gave him credit for. Just look at his rank in the pack. Look at how high above all others the seemingly harmless boy was. He had the respect of the leaders, or at least one of them if not both. It was the favor that he had with the female leader that had earned him his rank. She knew his capabilities like no other. And that was during a time before he could shift. There was more to his mind than he allowed most in on. He simply played up the assumptions others had about him. It was just easier than trying to deny them. Besides being underestimated really was a help for him. It allowed for him to be unhindered because most had no clue of how cruel the small boy could actually be. They didn't know of what things delighted him.

The name mattered nothing to him. His own siblings were slaves to him. The name was nothing. There was no prestige to sharing a name with someone. You had to make your own way and make yourself useful and worthy. So no, just because she shared the surname of the Crone wasn't going to impress the boy. In his mind the female had to earn her own way. She wasn't of the high ranks and so she couldn't possibly matter to him. And it was made worse that she chose to associate herself with the slave by wearing their jewelry. If that was how she wanted to represent herself then that is how he would treat her.

"Put back slave. No allowed take out." Bastion wouldn't hear of it. Just because she removed the ring didn't change her position in his mind. She wanted to walk around wearing it then that is what she would forever be to him. First impressions were everything after all. it was obvious what wearing a nose ring meant in this place. If she was going to show herself off that way then he was going to put her to work like one. And of course he had the power to do what he wanted since he outranked her. She had to respect him and his wishes or else she risked punishment.

The female turning her back on him and refusing to listen and obey did not sit well with the small male. He wasn't used to being denied what it was that he wanted. And well, he could have a bit of a temper. A rather cruel temper at that. It was this exact underestimation that had gotten others harmed at his hands. And it seemed that this would be this woman's folly as well. Her place on the ground gave him the advantage that he needed seeing as to how short he was. Since she wished to turn her back to him then well she wouldn't see him approach from behind. He made to secure one had into her hair while the other reached out to try and wrap around her throat. Claws made to try and dig into the soft flesh as he sought to get a tight grip around her esophagus in order to limit her air supply. The hand that had sought out her hair attempted to jerk her head back in order to force her to look up at him and stare down into the face that was peering down at her. All of his attempts were to try and place her under his control, to show her just who was in charge. "You listen. You obey." The words were spoken on the edge of a growl. Bastion didn't do well with being denied what it was that he wanted.
