Surprise and shock took over her when she felt a pair of strong and cruel hands grabbed her reddish hair and clasped her throat and digged into her skin. Her first impulse was to grab the arm connected to the hand that blocked her air supply, trying to pull it off herself. "¡Suéltame! ¡Suéltame por favor!" She tried to screm, her voice sounding hollow by the other's grip. As she struggled against the iron grip that held her close to her agressor, several whines and yelps, which would've otherwise been screams, left her mouth.
But as she tried to get free, her chest moving up and down as she tried to force some air into her lungs, she realized that it would be useless to scream for help, or even fight back. If somebody saw the scene, they would probably help the aggressor rather than the victim. His rank guaranteed him that. So, slowly, her grip on the greyish male's arm loosened, her throat became silent, and her eyes shut down. Her body became lax, but her pulse was still there, pounding against her neck as her heart made an effort to supply the organism with oxigen, even though it could no longer enter the lungs. Her heartbeat was fast, a sign of her uneasyness, as she became completely still, hoping that the other salsolian would let go of her.
If acting as a Family member hadn't saved her from this abuse, perhaps going along with his assumptions she would be able to escape. She would just wait for him to let go of her throat and hair, pretend to go back to the slaves' place and flee to the ruins. Hopefully, he wouldn't follow her, and she would be able to hide on her sister's chambers. He wouldn't dare to disturb the Crone, right? But by now, she could only guess. Trembling hands placed the ring back on her septum with certain difficulty as she tried to voice something that sounded like 'It's on its place now' and waited, her arms limp at her flanks once the slavery trademark was again visible on her nose.
