He didnt need to look at the rest of the group to know that everything was going okay. The fact that he couldnt see them was enough to tell him that they were either still submerged in the panicking horses, or already driving their quarry back towards the natural corral they'd found. Sauls own eyes were on the chestnut mare he'd picked out. Smaller than Hermes, but not by much, she was still large. He could see the whites of her eyes as she glanced back towards him, giving a squeal of terror and throwing herself forward. He cut off her means of escaped, driving her left and back the way they'd come. The dappled grey colt stayed by her side the whole time, panic in its eyes and the way it held its head. Still, there was nothing he could do about that and the idea of a gift for his brother came into his mind. Thoughts now pushed aside, he gave a bark of frustration which sent both of them skittering forward and away from the main group of horses.

Now separated from the group, the chestnut mare had no choice but to charge onwards. Feathered hooves plunged into the undergrowth as Saul drove them both back towards the corral. It wasnt too far away now and he could see the entrance. He closed in, nipping softly at her hooves to let her know that he was still there. It took him perhaps another few moments to reach the entrance of the meadow and he stopped, allowing the horses to plunge forward and into the meadow. Blocking the exit for just a moment he shifted up into his optime form as the mare lapped around the meadow, trying to find a way out. Conscious of others perhaps wanting to come in, he moved out of the way and grabbed a rope. The first throw was unsuccessful, but he gathered his wits again and threw the rope over her head. With a squeal it pulled tight, stopping her in her tracks. With a grunt Saul held on as she bucked and lunged forward, trying her best to get away from the rope.

It wasnt working and another fifteen minutes later, the mare stopped, exhausted. The foal by her side whinnied softly and she snorted in return before Saul approached. The evil look in her eye told him not to come close, but he managed to pull her towards a thick branch, tieing her swiftly down so that she couldnt escape. The little foal was easy to catch and he roped up to the tree as well. His own mission complete, he looked around to see Eclipse there, her dun mare already tied to the trees. Saul laughed softly, brushing his hair away from his hot face and patting the rump of the mare he'd caught. She gave a squeal and lashed out at him, to which he dodged the backward kick from her. She was going to be a firey spirit, there was no doubt about that. Green eyes turned to the entrance, trying to see if anyone else had come back yet.
