For anyone, I’m just getting Ezra used to Petra! He’s in optime and this is set just outside the stables during midday. ^_^

Ever’s sickness, combined with Ezra’s new headache problem (with his new herbal experimentation… medication) had made Ezra temporarily forget about Petra. The Duke was stressed and the time-consuming new pet he had recently taken from Halycon mountain was the least of his worries, at least until today. Ezra felt bad, he really did like the horse despite her random moments of unpleasantness. She was still wild, after all, and wanted to be free. Ever’s reports stated that the horse was doing well in the stable and starting to warm up to both her and the other equine which made the wolfdog happy. Petra would understand, eventually, or so he hoped.
Ezra had just returned from his patrol of the borders, and instead of heading straight back to his bungalow the male made his way over to the stables. He got a bit turned around halfway through his journey (for some reason, he couldn’t get there efficiently without Ever) but eventually found the stables in the heart of the Kingdom. Ezra smiled at the fact that no one was there and he could visit his mare in peace. The buckskin beauty was in one of the far stables, and she stamped her hoof as he came into view.
“Petra,” he said quietly, taking a bleached hand to her equally darkened nose. Ever taught him that non-verbal commands were the best for horses, so he unlocked her from the stable and started walking outside, glad the mare started plodding along behind him. A large grin formed on his face. It seemed as though Petra and Ezra would be fast friends which was what the male was hoping for.
Ezra really wasn’t sure what he was doing, but he figured taking her out for a nice gallop would do them both good. Clumsily, the male managed to get up onto her back and in a second the pair jetted off into the meadows, the hybrid’s heart racing. Soon enough the stables were obscured from view, but he kept urging her onwards.
