I'll play you a wicked melody

OOC: I do so claim this thread for my own! >:O *plants the flag of Rachel*

The howl was familiar and welcome, had it not been during this tumultuous time. Ralla knew the call and her children--although they did not know it--followed their mother's gaze when she looked to the border, ears twitching. Is that Bangle? Really, more than anything, Ralla didn't want any Galonv Adagatiyas to greet the man because she didn't know how rough they would be, especially since Liliana's case. That incident still burned deep in her heart, and most of the hearts of her tribe mates, as displayed by the last meeting they had. With Bangle being a hybrid, and Maska's determination to undermine the whole species of mixed-bloods, Bangle could become a target for the Guardians' cruel games.

She had previously been going through all her possessions and weeding out everything useful. It turned out she had found quite a few daggers--some rusted or broken, some in better shape--and some other weapon-like odds and ends that could be used should the need arise. Their next meeting would not be for a little while, but when the time came, Ralla was determined to get something accomplished. Dropping what she was doing, she began her descent down the tree hut, but not without being whined at by the pups. They still had four more months until they could fully shift into their optime forms, and what with the housing problems, the ability to go places was severely restricted upon them. Sighing, Ralla ferried her children down the ladder, which was actually not much of a hassle at all. Once they were all down they made a run for the border, although Ralla had to carry Aleu since the little girl was not fast enough to keep up. Thankfully, they arrived before an Guardian--a moon-sent blessing indeed. "Bangle!" she exclaimed, going up to meet her friend and seeing the little group of pups that were by him. Immediately Alaster became curious, not quite up to speed on how testy things were. "It's good to see you. But please, we must go away from here," she said, a little regretfully, as she began to walk past the family and beyond the border, trying to lead them a little deeper into the forested part of the outskirts of Serena Reserve. Were things different the mother would've invited the family into the pack lands, but being on the border after such a call was not safe, and Ralla cavorting with hybrids or foreign packs would certainly raise suspicion, if not subject her family to intense ridicule by the Guardians. Of course, she would explain everything to Bangle once they were out of eyesight from the border beyond in the copse of trees.

Moon walks. "Moon talks." Moon thinks.
