Many Bones

OCC: Near the Howling Caverns but a few hundred yards outise AT borders still, right in between InH and AT. Too lazy to put this in a table at the moment.

Tawny was wandering around once again, despite the consequences of her last little excursion. While her hands were now scabbed over, it was still a painful reminder to not over exert herself when it was clear that she needed a break. Nevertheless, she was looking for more junk to take back to her home for creating random pretties. This time her pack was emptied out, ready to collect new treasures! In the little satchel around her neck was a handful of blueberries. Another small skin wrap at the bottom of the shoulder pack held an assortment of berries. She planned on crushing them and using the juices for painting random things around her hut.

While there were plenty of these bushes around her home, she wanted to harvest outside of pack lands so as to keep their bushes well stocked for food purposes. Everything else was free game, and she had already found a great circular shaped rock to grind them in and use as a paint holder. Scampering along happily, she quickly realized that the scents of her pack’s borders were not even within range anymore. Sighing with frustration, the young woman shifted into Lupus form and trotted along on four paws, moving faster than before. It was also easier in this form to sniff things out, as well as see objects buried in the ground. This, of course, is exactly what happened.

A pleased rumble vibrated through her throat as she stopped and dug for a few moments, latching onto one of the sides of pale bone with her teeth and giving a tug. It seemed as if an entire family of…something had died in this area, as there were a lot of large bones lying about, all half buried. Crowing out her excitement, she began grabbing many of the smaller bones and depositing them in her shoulder pack, until the thing was positively full and she had a hard time walking with it resting on her back. Frustrated with her lack of muscles and strength, she set the bag down and walked around without it, gathering the large bones that looked interesting. She had no idea how they were all going to get back to her home…but somehow they would.

After gathering a massive amount of the bones together and stacking them in a neat pile, Tawny decided to wander a little and see if she could find something to snack on. Like an idiot, she had forgotten to bring any of the dried meat from her home. The buck she’d killed a few days before had been big enough to share with another family and still keep large parts for herself. Even if she hadn’t been able to keep the meat, all of the bones, the skin and antlers were hers to keep, which was a very good thing in her opinion. The young woman was almost too much like a pup to be living on her own out in the middle of the forest. She often forgot to eat, instead going on and on with her little creative projects until she was sick and had a hard time hunting. It was really quite pathetic.

She kept walking until the scents of unfamiliar creatures touched her nose and brought her to an abrupt halt. There had been no border crossing, which she was sure of, but it was obvious that she was skirting along the lines of another pack’s outer edges. Dropping her face to the ground, she took a few long, deep breaths and then turned back in the way that she had come from. There was no desire in her heart to stir up trouble with others, especially not if it would get her leaders involved.
