The youngest member of the group that was to depart the Thistle Kingdom had scarcely managed to catch any sleep before the shifting air of an approaching morning marched forth. The dark boy had packed a small bag of things he wanted to bring with, and had taken things both in and out several times. How could he make up his mind? His father had probably packed most of the provision anyway, so there wasn’t much for Pandemic to prepare. But he had never ventured so far from home, and the thought of doing so made him feel like a man, an adult. The adolescent bambino had finally received his task as well, and while the nature of it had disappointed and confused him back then, he was dedicated he would find the answer to the riddle and please his Boss.

The silver eyed youth skipped joyfully to his father when the large D’Angelo man arrived with the mounts. Despite his lack of sleep, Pandemic was full of energy as he lightly threaded around the mounts, eyeing the packed supplies his father had decided to bring. ”Which one shall I ride, Dad?” he asked, silvery eyes drawing to the magnificent stallion with the light mane. He knew it belonged to Sirius and that stallions were known to be more unruly, but the son had inherited his father’s size, and he was in need of a robust steed. He grinned as he looked up at his sire.

The burst of jealousy he had experienced when he had learned that Salvia had been given a foal wasn’t relevant anymore. He didn’t have to own things to be happy. He got to be brought out into adventure while his sibling wouldn’t, and he was beyond ecstatic, even if his preferences always had been to stay close to home. It had been difficult to say goodbye to his mother and siblings, but he had promised them all that he would return with gifts. The boy’s black tail lashed about his hackles, for there was no way of hiding his excitement.
