This is a bit scattered, but whatever. Outside of the Grimwell Caverns, Talitha's den, afternoon. She's painting. Inferni members only.

Minutes turned into hours and hours into days as Talitha found herself going through the motions of living. Exhaustion found her and claimed her again as she tried to rationalize keeping Caillen. Was it unfair? Was...she wrong? She knew it'd been a mistake to love the wolfdog, Ezekiel had shown her that much by killing him, yet she felt no guilt in keeping the corpse buried beneath the soil next to her den. She'd been apologetic to the golden Collie-mother. She'd felt bad. But she felt no guilt. Still, was she wrong? Was it wrong to look upon the mottled shape of her eldest, largest, wolf-blooded child, only to miss the father that they had destroyed?

She shook her head, trying to separate the unpleasant from her reality as she allowed herself a rest from dealing with the week-old pups so carefully guarded by the russet-pelted woman. She'd not allowed anyone near them since their birth, save the cousin she'd employed to ensure they were healthy. Even Ezekiel. It was out of shame that she kept them from her brother, shame that she hadn't been able to eradicate all of the rival male's chances at offspring, shame that she had failed. A hypocrite princess, queen of lies, hiding from the Aquila with all intents of never showing him her mistake.

Liquid sloshed about in the thin, transparent bottle she'd come into possession of, splashing the walls of the bottle as she lifted it to her jaws to drink some of the burning alcohol she'd missed for months. It kept her Demons at bay. Who could deny her that? With vice in hand, she sat herself down and prepared to work on a piece to present to her brother when she asked him for forgiveness, as she had so many other times. Painting lessened the blow. Her frayed brush moved across the plank-canvas, creating the brassy features of a familiar male alongside the russet shades of his broken twin. It would be a perfect gift, she was sure of it. Perfect.

If only everything else could be the same.
