Melee should have felt badly, but she didn't. It was one of those moments when she just didn't care at all what the other canine thought. This vicious little child was not worth her time, she knew it, but her emotions were running high and she felt angry at the small thing. She hadn't done anything at all to deserve such treatment. Apparently she was "stinky" but so was that decaying dead thing! It should have been thrown away or eaten long ago. Now it was just a bundle of decaying matter that shouldn't be toted around like a child's toy. Was this how coyote children were raised? What a shame.

Instead of getting into a "does too/does not" battle over whether or not Mr. Squishy stank, she just snorted derisively at the pup's defense of her plaything. From this meeting, she could clearly tell that the small coyote whelp was not interested in having her opinion changed. She flatly hated "stinkies" - which Mel was beginning to understand meant "wolves" - and there was nothing that the Soul girl could do to change that. Her tail snapped sharply from one side to the other. This was really a waste of her time to be here. Neither canine would end up agreeing with the other, they would just argue until they parted ways.

At the child's next words, she frowned deeply. It was disturbing to hear anyone say things like that, much less children. "Just because some 'stinkies' killed your mom and took your home doesn't mean we're all bad. That's just stupid." she said. A somewhat brutal way of explaining that the child was following to an illogical conclusion. With that, Melee turned around to leave. There was no reason to stick around for more berating from the irritating child.
