OOC: The goal for AniWayans in this thread is to pillage the CD territory--even lighting some buildings on fire if possible--in search of the Utinas. With permission from the leadership or select individuals, loot may also be taken. The post order must be alternating (i.e., CD, AW, CD, AW, etc.) in order to keep it fair for all, but you need not adhere to a specific posting order other than that.

It was time.

The canoes that they had made were well-built, but they were lucky that there had already been three in the storage for use, what with all the extra wolves and space they would need. There were only two or three wolves to a canoe, and going down the broad river by the light of the stars was perhaps the easiest thing that needed to be done, since the river's sloshing waves covered any sounds of the oars dipping in and out of the water. At the head sat Wematin, brown eyes scanning for any movement. At his signal they would dock the canoes and prepare their weapons, and then...oh, then the fun would begin.

In the canoe with him was Shadi, who paddled on the right as another--a new wolf named Armis--did the left, and, spotting no one, Wematin raised his hand and threw it forward. At once the canoes swept for the edge of the river, and everyone disembarked. Some brought spears, others bows, and some knives. But everyone also carried a torch and a tinder set, and would await his own to be lit. He bet that the Crimson Dreamers never expected intruders by the river, and when all was said and done, they could get away faster because of their cunning. Everyone knew their objectives--find the Utinas and make sure the Crimson Dreamers could not retaliate later--and so with a stern, final look, Wematin struck his tinder set to the torch and began to run into the territory, knife wielded in the other hand. Everyone was expected to follow suit, and to prove his point, Wematin ran his torch along the dry grass--that which was perfect for burning in the hot summer air--and set it ablaze. Soon that fire crept along the other spots of dry grass and then crawled its way up the surrounding trees--a prelude to the inferno that would eventually consume any unfortunate buildings and those who were trapped inside. While those behind him followed his example--some even hollering battle cries as their stealth was no longer important--Wematin had a far greater purpose given to him, and he would gladly cut down anyone in his way if presented.

All hell was about to break loose.
