The sable and brown youth awoke in his room. Howls resounding in the air, growing steadily close. More voices joined the first. Cutting through the grogginess that fogged youth’s mind, but it was Savina’s voice that instantaneously snapped the boy’s mind to the here and now. They were under attack. Fear struck him first at the realization and the gears in his mind instantly turned towards his mother. He rushed from his room into the main room his family shared. ”Mom?! Where are you? Get up, something is wrong!” He called out towards the door to her room. Not sure if she was on the other side of the cracked door. ”Oak?” Dark ears and blue eyes shifted to the door to his brothers room. For a few seconds the young man did not not know what to do. He stood in the center of the room, looking anxiously from door to door for a moment, before he heard his mom's once voice call out in the hallway.
His Alphess and Mother had called for the manor to awaken and those of able body to come and fight. Though the boy was riddled with fear and doubt of his own ability to be of any help. If he was going to be of any use to his pack he had to answer the call and so he mustered what courage he had to steel his resolve. He had never before used the halfling form, but he knew his lupus would be too light; as it was lithe and built for speed. Closing his eyes the boy concentrated on the unpracticed change that would give him added muscle and bulk. After a few precious minutes the change was complete and the young man charged down the stairs of the upper level of the manor and out into the the night to join the front lines.
