This is the post where the pre-plotted part ends...I think? XD Alli, what form is Anu in? :X

Wematin felt the bite of metal in his shoulder and rolled off quickly, only grunting to acknowledge his pain. Howling and whimpering was a sign of weakness, he had been taught, so he had been trained to forget the screams of pain. Still, he was mortal, and the open wound that freely bled soaked the dirt where he rolled off, quickly righting himself to face his opponent. He had tried to keep his jaws locked in the other male's shoulder before, but the optime had rolled, and keeping a bite steady wasn't easy when your head and neck were being pressured by momentum.

The other male's left arm hung with non-use as Wematin's own left shoulder ached. Although the Guardian favored it, he endeavored not to display it as openly. The other male brandished two daggers his way and in response Wematin snarled before rushing towards him. At the last moment he feinted to the right--his good side--and used his still-able leg to push off towards the side of the man, aiming to at least barrel him down. At the same time he felt his shoulder hit, the black man heard the cry of dominance and anger--a cry unmistakable as that of the alpha's. It was ingrained into every wolf's blood to recognize the scent, look, and call of an alpha, and so when Wematin rolled off his opponent--hopefully leaving another few scratch marks and maybe some bruises--he ran towards them, escaping his previous target in the thick underbrush.

A tactic in war was to disable the alphas, and then the pack would follow. Strangely that had not happened in AniWaya, but they couldn't very well have threatened Dawali with death and expected his tribe to follow. Here, it was different. It may not have been the original objective, but getting collateral on the Dreamers was now ideal. He began his slightly awkward run towards the alpha--and her second, it appeared--and although his left shoulder had stopped bleeding so profusely, it still ached and seeped red. He howled to his other colleagues, sending out the message to where he had located the alphas and to concentrate all efforts there. Finding the Utinas among this mess would be impossible, so they would need to trust his judgement on this one. If Nahele or someone could distract the secui female--the alpha, and one who Wematin doubted he could best as he was then--Wematin could go for the second and order a retreat. At this point, a leader was far more valuable than runaways.

Guardian walks. "Guardian talks." Guardian thinks.
