Noss nodded in affirmation of her question. "I'm their uncle, Noss," he said as he watched the woman interact with Alaster. The normally shy boy was quite open with the woman, which at least assured Noss his nephew wasn't completely timid of the world. "Miss Ayita! Miss Ayita!" Alaster chanted as he reared on his hind legs to get closer to the woman. Their last meeting had obviously left a good impression on the pup. "Where's Liam? Hatlvno?" Ahiga and Aleu quickly followed their brother to the woman and began to greet her, all puppy-kisses and everything. "It would seem that way," he commented on her last answer, very neutral about it. He had seen Ralla pregnant, and that woman could switch moods faster than the directions of the winds when she was full of the pups...
"Dinelodi gvdodi itsulaayv, Elogi Ayita?" Ahiga asked, surprisingly more adept at speaking the complicated words and sounds to speak AniWayan than English. Honestly, the only reason Noss had an inkling what they said half the time in AniWayan was because his native tongue had the same roots. All he got out of that sentence, though, was 'play' and 'Aunt Ayita'. If the Queen looked to him for an answer to what they said, he merely shrugged and said, "They want to play." Such a thing shouldn't be a surprise; it's all pups ever wanted to do. Except maybe Aleu, who followed Strelein around whenever he began to sew. "Oi, ku ci wiya wa yuwega," he said as Ahiga got a little jumpy trying to go around the back and clamber on the woman, prompting Noss to reach forward and grab him by the scruff. Ahiga was still laughing as his uncle held him upright and his body was curled in by reflex, and even though Noss knew they didn't know Lakhota very well, they at least got his tone of voice.
