Savina snorted at the green man's words. Was he deaf? She had not called him the craven, but his little dogs that surrounded him. Though admittedly she did think this Maska was a coward. If he was a true leader he would lead his people into battle, not simply dictate from the safety of his own home. That was weakness. These goons might obey him, but the rest of the tribe would not put their lives on the line for a man who would not return them that same courtesy. She would certainly not expect it of her Dreamers. "An honorable wolf would have sought an audience with another leader before resorting to unnecessary violence and trespass." And if you had sent your warriors not all might have returned, she thought, but left unsaid. He seemed to think they would be easily cowed. If that was so, it was another grave mistake.
"You may have him back, after you return my own to me." She had no use for the stuttering wolf behind her, all she wanted was Anu and Fia's safe return. That, and an assurance that this disgraceful excuse for a leader would leave her pack alone. Otherwise there would be blood and there would be no one to blame but himself. Let his tribe know he had started a conflict with impudence.
