The idea that she would spend the day with her sister, mother and father was oh-so exciting to the fairy princess Titania, and she could scarcely contain herself as they waited patiently before the door of Shawchert's home to greet him. She was impatient. Where was he? Hadn't her mother knocked on the door hard enough to wake him? Her cheerful face started to scrunch, to become a mask of irritation, until finally the door was opened and she launched herself at the sandy man who stood behind it. "POPPA!" she exclaimed, scampering about his feet with all the hyper excitement of a child.
But it didn't last for long.
As soon as she noticed the bandage, she started to wonder what was wrong -- what was he wearing and why hadn't she seen it before? She sat, narrowing her eyes to get a better look. "Poppa, what's that?" She hoped she'd get an answer, but wasn't unused to not being told things by adults she met along the way, who believed she was out of line in being so inquisitive.
