The boy was startled as a voice rose out of what he had been figuring was a carcass. He took a few steps back and away from the resting male. He wasn't exactly scared but had been surprised and once he had gotten over the initial shock he was once again staring curiously at him. "I no dead." Bastion interjected the words with a giggle and a happy wag of his tail. "You looks dead, no moving." The explanation was broken and clipped out in an incomplete way. Still Bastion had felt to at least to have said enough to get his point across. And if not, they oh well. Not everyone was used to his pattern of speech, but then again how could they be if they were just meeting him for the first time.

The small male stared in the direction of the older male and watched him but his gaze ended up slipping past him to notice that the blonde had moved and contained with a different portion of foliage. Bastion wasn't exactly a mind reader either but he was perceptive. He didn't know the other family enough to know if he could pick up on nonverbal clues or not. It wasn't like with his puppy where he only had to make the barest of hints to get his point across and to have his puppy doing exactly what he wanted. Bastion knew his own weaknesses and played them up. If he was to be left alone with the elder outsider then there was no way he could take him on in a fair fight. Instead he sought to stare past the one that had been stumbled upon to seek out the gaze of the other high ranked male, and of course he tried not to be obvious about it since he didn't want to be obvious about it but just to let the other know that he knew he was there and hoped he was paying attention.

The boy dipped his gaze to the ground to stare at his feet as if he were shy and rubbed one ankle against the other. He then glanced a peek up as he crossed his arms just enough to have his hands rubbing at the forearm of the opposite arm a few time before one hand finally managed to run its way up one arm to caress his throat as the other hand had taken hold of the elbow of the arm that was playing at the youth's throat. After all the fidgeting about the boy seemed to finally able to find his voice once again. "Play with me?" The question was directed towards both men at the same time. The fidgeting had been entirely to indicate to Itachi that this aged gentleman should be restrained. And well, slavery was a game for him. Actually this whole ordeal was a game for him. Would the other Salsolan pick up upon the charades? Would the near trespasser agree to Bastion's whims? He couldn't predict any of it and that is what made it a game.

Slowly the boy ceased all of his fidgeting in order to ease closer to Cass once more. "Please?" The single word was spoken softly as the young male tilted his head back to angle a pleading look up to the armed male and reached out to try to grab the other's hand to hold between both of his own small ones. Bastion portrayed a look that would make it seem as if he would be completely heartbroken should his plea be denied just as would be found upon any child's face when they desperately wanted something.
