Ezra had been away from his beach bungalow attending to nothing in particular. He loved exploring the pack lands when the weather was warm and had been investigating the areas far from his home for days now. Today all that had been put on halt, however, when the meeting was called. Curious, Ezra listened to his King with his full attention. Lots of intriguing news came to light that the hybrid was unaware of.
Ezra tried his best to hide his disgust on his face about the man named Mysterious Brute. There was nothing he felt obligated to say to that or to the death of Keese. While losing a pack member was a wretched thing, the way Vigilante spoke of the death it seemed like something that wasn’t meant to be asked about. Ezra, of course, had no idea of the connection Keese had to his sparring partner Anann.
Black-tipped ears perked up in curiosity when the king mentioned the new rank system. The hybrid nodded, understanding his new place in the pack. As he had a new found interest in sparring and battle, Ezra hoped the king would put him in the cavalry tier. If not, he knew it could be arranged. Vigilante was a courteous and understanding leader, which Ezra always liked. But now Strelein was a leader, too. “Congratulations,” he said simply with a nod to the new Dauphin.
