rooted fast to the earth

Eclipse had been excited since the moment she woke from a restless sleep. It was mostly because she was going hunting with Saul, and though she was small of frame they had been successful. She was an adequate hunter and this would help prove that she could work in a team setting as well, though it was doubtful anyone questioned that of her. She was a very social wolf, though she'd not met everyone in the pack, in fact she had only met a few numbers in the pack itself compared to the loners and other packs over on the other side of the mountain, but that didn't deter her from much thought. Most of the time it was daydreaming about Razekiel. He'd given her a little bit of enlightenment on religious views, and had bluntly taught her about mating, though she would promptly try to forget about that, but she couldn't help but think about him. He was so kind, and had never raised his voice, almost like her daddy. He was a leader too, but that meant little to her. Naryu was a leader and she respected both of them as such. It was that he compared to her dad in that way, though she didn't like him because he was a bit like her dad, albeit in a weird way. His personality was just addicting.

So she was found to be making a dish, from the meat and vegetables from the garden, it wasn't their whole kill, not even half of it. She wasn't sure how many liked cooked meals, so she limited herself, but she'd found herself at a fire pit out back, roasting some of the food mixed and marinated in her own homemade sauce, she was sure to please the mouth. She'd been experimenting on cooking for a while, though she never really made anything for anyone else, so this made her nervous as she was bringing the piping dish into the dining room to be placed with the other food. She set it down on the table and went to find saul.

"Saul, when are we gonna eat?"

She asked. The cooked food was wafting off her and her belly was grumbling in protest. She wanted to eat now, she never waited before, but if she were to eat with the other's she knew she'd have to wait a little longer.
