For a few weeks now, she had been in the care of puppies. She loved puppies, don't get her wrong, but she did find it quite strange that her father would just dump her sisters and brother into her care like that. Then again, Valkyrie shouldn't have expected more, simply because she had been raised mostly by Ryan. Hell, she didn't even know too much about her father until recently! She didn't even fully understand the things that she knew now, like how her father could be gay but still sire these children, including herself. She had failed to ask her father why he was dumping the children off on her simply because she had respect for the children. She didn't want to discuss such things in front of them, because she was afraid that they might find out that he was gay, since he had hidden it so well for the past few years. Or maybe she was just to blind to notice that he liked it that way. It would explain why he never liked her, and why he never would like her. She thought hard about this for awhile now.
She looked around the cave that she shared with the pups and then she cast her gaze out outside. She wondered where the children were. Had they been playing with the still unnamed Mare that Valkyrie was given by her wolven friend? Or were they getting into trouble somewhere? There were enough heads in Inferni to watch the children, but Valkyrie always did fear that they would get into trouble and there would be no one around to help them. She worried about them, a lot more than she probably should have. Though, they were her sisters, so maybe she had good reason to be fearful of their wanderings.
She lazily got up and she moved her hands through her thick hair and she tied it back in a hair-tie so that she could get it out of her eyes. She then would approach the entrance to her den and move out in front of the den. Luci! Wraith! Nathan! she called to the three pups, hoping that at east one of them would show up, though wanting them all to come running from wherever they were.
