Teo had dragged him out by the ear, just about. The larger male hadn't been all that up to getting up early for some healthy excersize and some well-needed hunting. Winter would be coming soon and Teo knew full well that meant it was time to start stocking up on food and supplies. He wanted to be ready, especially since there were new pups in the pack. They'd need the extra nutrition to survive their first northern winter.
So he'd woken his mate up early, barking about how they had to go hunting. Next came Camilla, who groaned as any teenager would, but came willingly none-the-less. She understood her brother's troubled mind sometimes better than Alaki did, so when his ready-to-work expression was seen, she'd nodded and followed along without question.
That led them out into the forest in their lupus forms, Teo leading the way as a groggy Alaki followed along behind and a tinier Camilla flanked him on the right side. They were headed out towards the far borders, in hopes of catching a herd Teo had seen wandering that way a few days prior on one of his treks to the borders. If they were in the same spot as before, the trio would be upon them within the hour.
It's just this way. Teo glanced over his shoulder, addressing his mate. I noticed one of them was injured when I saw the herd the other day. Maybe he's still with them and we can catch ourselves an easy meal- He didn't get the chance to finish. Nearby, a howl, long and beckoning. Teo stopped in his tracks, Camilla halting beside him.
Shouldn't we go check that out? What if it's a joiner? The youngest of the three murmured, glancing up at her brother curiously for an answer. Teo turned to Alaki, the highest ranked of them, waiting for his decision. Well?
