No matter how much he protested and how much he complained, it was clear that his mate would never understand that he was not a morning wolf and never would be; regardless of the amount of times Teo woke him up in the morning, he would never get used to and be able to function properly at such an ungodly hour of the day. Voicing his dislike of being awoken he made sure his mate knew exactly how much he appreciated being kicked out of bed and made to move around so early in the day but still following behind the white one; too protective to let his mate wonder of on his own under the pretence of hunting. These days the white one seemed.. fragile, as if the wrong word may just push him over the edge and so he found himself tiptoeing about and being careful of what he did and said.
Before him, Teo was in his lupus form and the brat, copying her brother and moving in her lupus form. Alaki had chosen to stick to his optime form; he could carry more weapons and kills that way and quite frankly he had grown so accustomed to his taller form that dropping to four legs seemed strange to him these days. Wisps of cool morning wind held a cutting chill to them, his paws damp from the dew upon the ground, but nether the less he still dutifully followed the other, ready to assist in the random hunting trip... if he truly had to.
As the white one called back to him, his words were lost with a stray call for assistance along the border. Which was just his luck; with his rank, he felt completely obliged to answer the call, despite it being morning, despite his mate being present and a lot more 'despites', the only good thing about the call was that it would get him out of the hunting trip...Can't exactly ignore it, I'll go see what they want he paused as he turned to leave, You two wanna tag along? he asked, unsure if he really wanted them there or whether to leave them behind.
