No doubt Janos was used to Bastion's strange behavior and shifts in mood. Though perhaps not to quite this extent though. This was new territory for even Bastion. The small male wasn't used to the feeling of jealousy that rested within the pit of his stomach. He had never fretted about infidelity before. No, he had always been quick to forget about any offending party and just left them behind. But well, he didn't want to forget about Janos. He didn't want to replace his puppy. That was odd for him. He'd had a number of puppies in his short existence. Janos was the one to have lasted the longest. Janos was the only one that Bastion had never wanted to lose.
The words spoken did nothing for his mood. Or well, they didn't make him feel better right away. Janos was saying that he wasn't the father but could Bastion believe that? Janos had never given him any reason to not trust him before so it hurt to doubt him now. But there was one word that stuck out as odd to him. Family? How long had Janos been considering that? Sure, Bastion had the components that made up a family when he was younger but he had never felt as if they had been actual family. The closest that he had felt to that was in Salsola. So it was curious that he would use that term.
Bastion couldn't help the giggle that slipped out as his chin was messed with. It was such a small action but it made him feel much better. Bastion rolled over and held his arms out to Janos, inviting the larger male to join him on the bed so that they could snuggle. "Family?" Finally the small male spoke the single word that had been weighing on his mind. He wanted to know just what Janos had meant by that.
