The male seemed just as uncertain and awkward as her. For a moment, they stood there in mutual awkwardness. Parker couldn't help it, she laughed. The noise startled her and she covered her mouth in surprise. Usually she was not one to laugh so openly or unintentionally. The situation was just so comical that she couldn't help but feel warmly amused by it. It certainly broke the uncertainty between them, though she felt her skin flush underneath her fur. The noise had been inappropriate and completely out of character for her. Sometimes, though, things didn't stay under her control. She knew and accepted that about life.

"Parker." she said simply, placing her hand on her heart in a "good to meet you" sort of gesture. Lengthy conversations and lots of useless words were not her forte. Unfortunately with him also being somewhat socially awkward, this meant that there was no one picking up the slack. "Are you new?" she asked, to cut into the silence and try to guide the conversation somewhere. For once, she felt obligated to help with that.
