The two Ichika Ryus met that morning, as they would from time to time, and caught each other up on matters of Ichika no Ho-en. Not that there was ever a huge amount of issues to speak of. They could speak of the vineyards and the ranch and the members, but only in a positive light. Ichika was thriving still and Nayru couldn't be happier. If their speech turned towards darker things always it what went on outside their sanctuary. The war that raged in the south. Strangers who lurked just outside their borders but never within in. The surround packs and their ever ominous presence. Anathema especially. They lingered so close to Ichika no Ho-en it was hard not to take notice. Anyone passing over the mountains has to pass between the two packs, in the narrow straight that their borders formed. And yet, with such close neighbors they hardly knew anything at all.
.

Nayru told the old hippie what she knew of Anathema in its present state. She had met the Anathema leader on two occasions, both had gone well and yet Naniko seemed content to keep to herself. The pack perhaps harbored trouble makers but Nayru didn't know enough to comment. The piebald Jiryu however did not mention to Razekiel that weeks ago she had come across an Anathema member and, both out of mercy and justice, put that miserable life to rest. The Reiseki had absolved that sin from her soul and now the two moved at too quick a pace for Nayru to breach such a sensitive topic about pack relations. If the truth were to become uncovered would Anathema grow angry? Or, like when Conor met his fate within their borders, would they all turn a blind eye for the sake of peace?

Even if Nayru had wished to breach the topic that day a howl interrupted their chat and Nayru simply took the cue from Razekiel. The coyote had spoken of Sage coming before, and realizing it was probably she upon their borders Nayru quickened her step alongside the man. When the two of them reached the three Infernians Nayru held back, allowing the man to make what he felt a proper and warm greeting to his offspring, and Nayru's eyes floated over the figures of the other two. The young girl and her bird, and the third who made the image of Talitha flash before her mind although the two did not look too much alike at all. When a lull had come in Razekiel's greeting Nayru grinned the man and then moved to embrace Sage with a warm clasp of her hand. The woman's warmth in comparison to Talitha's coldness still resonated within Nayru's memory.

“Greetings, greetings. Namaste.” Her gentle voice paled in comparison to Razekiel's more robust greeting. Nayru directed the customary bow to the two strangers, an easy smile upon her thin ebony lips. “Welcome to Ichika. My name is Nayru.” And surely that was enough for now as she let her voice drop to inaudible levels.
