"I've grown to love the smell of the smoke," Sage said as she exhaled some of it with a shrug. After a lifetime of exposure, it smelled sweet as honey to her. Even now, she took a breath of the musk through her nose, smiling in enjoyment as golden eyes absorbed the vast and marvelous landscape. Her companions seemed unimpressed, but she was not discouraged. It was splendid. "I think it's absolutely gorgeous." Razekiel had chosen his land perfectly; it was like paradise to the tawny Lykoi. She was beaming with excitement as they waited, proud of the father she thought she'd lost.
The small troupe hadn't waited long before a familiar voice echoed in reply to her call. He's coming! Still grinning widely, she moved forward a few steps to get a better view. "They're coming! she exclaimed when she could see movement below. The wind brought her two scents, and both she knew instantly. Father had brought Nayru! Sage's impression of the two-toned former Dahlian had been positive; the woman was kind and seemed peaceful, unlike her own cousin Talitha. Clearing her throat, she preened herself for a moment as they approached.
"Daddy! she exclaimed, running forward into his outstretched arms. She hugged him close, so happy to see him again after too many days. "Oh, it's so beautiful here! What a wonderful place... can we see more?" she cooed dreamily, hoping, as she pulled back from her father as he chatted with Valkyrie and Myrika. Beaming fully again, she stepped over to greet Nayru happily as well. "Good to see you again, Nayru!" Sage extended a friendly hand to shake the Ichikan's white one. "You two chose such a perfect territory; it really is stunning..."
