He would go down and he would play with Enigma and Bastion as soon as the threat was gone. But for now he was still in a very vulnerable spot and he would wait and defend his new family until he dropped dead. The figure came into the clearing and he smelled with a sudden rush the same scent that was on the dead female that he had taken the pup from. Was this the father? He gave a growl, lowering himself into a fighting stance as if ready to move at a moment’s notice wherever he had to go in order to fight, to defend. He felt eyes boring into his back and he threw a light look back at his master before he turned back towards where the creature was coming out. But it seemed as though he was suddenly very invisible as this creature walked around him and to the side. Janos mirrored his motions, his goal to protect his master and his pup at all costs. But it seemed as though Reaper wasn’t even angry since this new male that he had never seen before was staring with slack jaws. He frowned and straightened up, looking behind him at his master, looking for some sort of recognition in the other’s eyes. He wasn’t sure who this creature was but he hoped that he could get some sort of recognition and some sort of notion from Bastion as to what he should do.

But what he didn’t expect was to see the way that Bastion responded. He ran past Janos and to the stranger, acting as if they were best friends. They were hugging and Janos’s ears went against his head but he had to take a deep breath. Maybe it wasn’t what he thought. Maybe his master would come back to him; he just had to trust him. Giving a little deep breath, he turned behind him and scooped up the pup, placing the pup in one hand as he watched the two, still looking to be very cautious. He wasn’t ready to attack yet but nor was he ready to let down his guards just yet. Janos approached the two, towering over his smaller master. ”Master, who is this man?” He asked, ignoring the creature that he felt was below him and instead was focused on the small cherub. He shifted the pup in his hand, cradling him protectively against his chest as he so wished to do with his master too but he couldn’t do anything until he was told by his master that it was okay for him to relax and that he knew this creature and that there really was nothing for him to worry about. But how could he not worry? His master was approaching and talking to someone else with such open arms, someone that he didn’t know about. But no he would trust his master because he knew that his master was capable and chances were that this was someone from his past, so the male would be calm for now.
