How could Reaper expect to retain his place as puppy if he hadn't followed when Bastion had been banished? That action alone forced Reaper to be replaced. Bastion needed someone that would be able to hunt for him and protect him. The small male was all too aware of his weaknesses and he compensated for them by having a puppy. By not sticking by him reaper had lost all claims to the title. Now he was little more than an experimental slave in Bastion's mind. While Reaper had served his purpose in the past he was still flawed. And that flaw showed through when he figured that he could still be puppy when he hadn't maintained his job.
Reaper pulled away from him and so he was forced to release his littermate. Even though the action, and furthermore the words, had been unexpected Bastion still felt in control of the situation. His brother would never seek to harm him, or so he figured. He assumed that out of all the training that would be the one tidbit to always remain with him. After all Bastion had shown just how easily he would dispose of those that would seek to oppose him.
"No." Bastion spoke simply yet firmly. "Not yours. You left." Bastion folded his arms over his chest, clearly not happy that Reaper would even think to question what Bastion had already laid down as fact. "Make another." He commanded and then after a pause he thought to add to it. "Make another. Give me and I forgive you." It was a rare offer to allow the other off the hook for his disobedience. All Reaper had to do was show that he was willing to submit again. That he was willing to create another litter with Bastion in mind and would give all of them up to Bastion.
Figuring that Reaper would run off to do as Bastion had instructed the small male turned his back to his brother and moved over to Janos. He reached up for the pup that Janos was holding so that he could take Enigma and go back to playing with him. Since he had given an order he figured that would be the end of this encounter.
