He giggled as his greeting was replied with one of excitement. Who could believe that children actually liked him despite his eccentricities? But then that could also be placed in the line of speculation that it was because he spoke and acted like them himself. He didn't show himself as the sort of being too high and mighty to get down and play. And well, he shared nearly the same amount of curiosity as well. So perhaps it really wasn't too much of a surprised that he could earn the favor of children. They were young yet and hadn't a firm concept of right and wrong just yet. They could be influenced to easily to share in his values and beliefs.

Basti reached over to stroke his fingers through the fur upon Ataxia's head as she nosed his arm. Bastion had never really thought of himself to be the sort to enjoy being around small children but he had to say he was. It was strange because he could just as easily snuff their lives in order to extend his own, and had even done so before. Perhaps it was only because this child belonged to Eris, belonged to Salsola. After all they hadn't changed his opinion on their worth. He simply would not take from Salsola's numbers but outsiders didn't have such consideration from him.

It was true that he didn't need the entire explanation. After all he should be able to understand since it was the exact same manner in which he spoke. He looked over at the bone and laughed as Ataxia displayed her distaste for it. But it didn't remain the subject of discussion for long as the young girl came closer to inspect Enigma. The pup was larger than Bastion had been at his age, nearing a month old or so give or take a few days. But then again Bastion had been a runt and it was clear that Enigma wasn't.

Basti gave a nod of his head in agreement with Ataxia's request. He didn't mind letting his son down to play as long as he wished to do so as well. So once Enigma had finished drinking from his bottle Basti released him from his hold and placed the pup on the ground. "Careful." Bastion cautioned both of the pups. After all Ataxia was larger than Enigma because she was older than him and well, Enigma still wobbled a bit when he walked. Though mainly now it was when he would get excited that he would stumble. It really was quite and improvement from what he had started out as. But then again pups always seemed to learn and develop in leaps and bounds. It seemed as if each week there came a new mastery in some area as well as a new discovery in yet another area. It seemed almost as if one day spent away from the pup would mean that some other major milestone would be missed. And for some reason Bastion found himself not wishing to miss any of that.
