It was with disdain that Salvia regarded the dark, squirming form. They were kin, sisters, and the instinctive knowledge that the newer generation could be a threat lingered. They would lack the surplus meat that made Pandemic and Salvia so strong. They would grow in Salsola as its first litter, but not the favored. Salvia knew her role in the pack and knew her bonds with those in power were solid and safe, even from a child. She watched her sister as a hunting cat sized its prey; and Salvia certainly knew how cats behaved.
Yet the girl was unafraid and Salvia was sure of why. No one would touch the children of the Auxilary and the massive Arbiter. One man had tried to kill her, and her father and rended him asunder. So she knew better than to harm the girl, but in the back of her mind, the instinct remained. Green eyes glimmered with rancorous light. "Which one are you?" She asked, making no move to change her stance from the one which displayed her dominance clearly. While not aggressive, her shoulders were squared and back, chest high. Ears rose above her blonde hair, tail swung cat-like behind her. Her feet, large and clawed, were such that her weight remained balanced low. It was a subtle display, but one accented by her sharp voice and terrible eyes.
