[/html]Ataxia was attentive to the environment around her. It was a natural instinct for wolves to pay attention to their surroundings, though it was partially a learned trait. Being Larkspur's daughter gave her a leg up on that, though, because he was an instinctive creature. Perhaps she had gained that through proximity or he had taught her in some way. Perhaps it was just what ran in her blood. So it was that she noticed Liliya when she got within a reasonable range of the elder female; her blue-turning-gold eyes focused on the stranger and she paused. The last time that she had seen a "stranger" in the pack (which had turned out to be her older sister) the meeting had not really been fun. Salvia had been agitated at her, though she hadn't and still wasn't sure why. If all of the pack's wolves - besides her direct family and Uncle Sirius - were like that, she didn't want to approach this female.

Sneakiness was not something that she had perfected, though, and so she stood there looking curiously at the tawny female for a while in the open. Actually it probably wasn't that long at all before the Russo wolf noticed the cub, it just felt like longer to Ataxia because she was so intent upon figuring out what the personality of this wolf might be. How she thought she would figure that out by just staring was really not clear, but she was a puppy and often did odd things. When the older female spoke, the words seemed gentle though they were marred with an odd accent that perplexed her. No one that she had met so far had one, though she would eventually learn that there were several Salsolans that did. Nonetheless, the strangeness of the voice both interested and confused her at the same time.

Stepping forward boldly, she inhaled the smells of the Russo and then spoke: "Waaaddahhh! Eyessss, dey turn to gowd!" she explained, heading toward the water to look at herself. Unafraid now that she felt she had established that the older female was not an immediate threat.
