Chapel paced restlessly back and forth across the dusty wooden floor of her temporary home. The thought of finally achieving what she had hoped filled her with adrenaline that pumped through her veins with every thump of her heart. She couldn't just sit around here any longer. She had to act. Once the deed was done, Chapel could simply return home with to her brothers, sisters, mother, and father, and tell them of the great news. They would be so proud. The mangy pup she had talked to earlier had told her all she needed to know. All that was left was to just go through with it. It would go without a hitch.
Leaving her room, she galloped down the stairs and out the door of the abode she would never see again. The tall building gradually faded into the distance and slipped from her mind. Before she was simply a coyote. Now she felt like a superhero, saving the world from the cold clutches of evil that grasped it for so long. The female quickly passed the Grimwell Caverns and crossed the River Acheron, waiting to hear some sound that she could identify. Finally, she heard it. The sound of splashing water and high pitched voices greeted her ears. She scratched at the ground in anticipation.
Following the source of the noise, she came to Hade's Beach. Chapel remembered being here not too long ago when her plan was only in infancy. It was that pup that made this happen. That brought her demise over herself. There they were; the pups of Inferni. The next generation. She'd heard rumors that these would be the saviors of the pack, that they would bring it to the next golden age. Chapel would make sure they didn't even have the chance.
