[/html]Due to his frequent patrolling of Inferni and their borders especially, Hybrid was often very in tune with the coming-and-going of members within his home. Since he passed by the dens fairly often, he would check in on his children when it so pleased him. Today, he had happened by the den where the children lived, along with Valkyrie, but could not find any of them there. He figured they were likely out with Valkyrie learning to hunt. Once they were older, he knew he would begin showing them other things, including fighting and warmanship. Now, he tried to tell them all he could to shape them into his ideal soldiers, so although he did not see them too often, he figured it was certainly often enough.
Hybrid followed the river down to the water's edge, following the scent of a newer Inferni member. Something about that scent was familiar, though, he knew he had never met them. He knew Inferni had welcomed some new members into its ranks, but he had only been watching them in passing as he patrolled, so he hardly knew them at all. Somehow, this member was completely unknown to him save for a slight tingling of recognition. Like the other members, he figured it was someone he'd smelled at some point and forgotten about it.
As he approached the water's edge, he saw a familiar figure standing in the distance. He trotted toward the other, who he quickly recognized to be Kesho -- now in the elder ranks. His scent had significantly changed since their last encounter.
Hybrid's gait was still a little stunted from his foray into AniWayan territory, where he'd wounded his back leg. Still, he tried the best he could to approach comfortably without further injuring himself.
Once he came closer, he barked out: "what're you looking at?" He followed Kesho's gaze and saw a group of puppies -- as well as that unknown coyote -- on the beach. Puzzled, he tilted his head. What was going on?[html][/html]
