The Final Showdown
#4
After coming back to Inferni lands, she had spent most of her time taking care of the results of her trade: two spruce grouse eggs, which she had assumed to be birds of prey rather than birds that were prey. Consequently, she spent most of her time inside the Grimwell Caverns, watching the eggs and occasionally turning them. She only went out to hunt.

On this day, however, she felt a need to do something else. She was starting to get sore from sitting so long. The coywolf traveled out of the caverns, into the almost-blindingly bright sunlight. After spending so much time in the dark, it took a few moments for her eyes to adjust. She blinked, and yawned.

A brown streak spend past her, which she could almost make out as another coyote. Whoever they were, they were intent on getting somewhere quickly. Curiosity overcame Alma, and so too, did the need for company. The trade had put her in a good mood, and she felt brave enough to approach someone new today.

The coywolf took a guess as to where the coyote went, from the direction she had seen her running in - the beach. Alma traveled in that direction, at a languid pace.

By the time she had reached the beach, two others were there before her. A coyote who looked old enough to be an elder, and another coyote she didn't recognize but from his scent had to be of Inferni. Neither of them looked like the brown streak she saw flying past her, and Alma could not see the third coyote from her vantage point.

"A-am I interrupting something?" She had seen and heard the pups, but the thing that sped past her wasn't that small. "Anyone see a brown thing running?"
