The Final Showdown
#9
At the hint of teeth at her neck, Chapel twisted around , lashing out at her attacker. Bloodlust filled her very soul, and she cared about nothing else. Not caring if her attack had hit the mark, Chapel turned around and chased again for the puppies, who had long since scattered. Jumping forward to the nearest one, paws scrabbling in the sand, she tried to latch on and break the thing's little neck. The she-wolf didn't bother to look behind herself to see if anyone was following her. There was only one thing that mattered now. Either way, she had gone too far now and couldn't just abandon the mission. That would put all into jeopardy. This was her only chance.

Chapel failed at trying to think rationally of a solution that could bring her success. All doors except the most obvious one seemed to be closed and locked for eternity. The "bridge" was approaching her rapidly and would soon be upon her. The she-wolf would have to decide which path to take.

("bridge" is not a literal bridge. Figurative. Sorry about the fail-post and the long wait =( )
