Appearances were deceiving, that was the most simple explanation. There had been one that could pass for coyote by looks alone but they had reeked of wolf. That right there had solidified for the small girl that appearances could be trusted. Appearances lied whereas scents did not. One could change their appearance but they could never change their scent. So was it really so strange that she relied upon the one thing that had proven to be the most reliable option?
The young female gave a nod of her head. That really was the simplest explanation for it. it also led to why Symera had come to the conclusion that the other could have belonged to Inferni as well. But then again Symera had made that same mistake with a few hybrids since she couldn't distinguish the scents easily enough. So while her basis for judging someone was flawed it was still the easiest for her given how she lacked knowledge of hybridization.
Symera took a moment to sniff at the air before she ended up shaking her head. "No, I don't smell any close by right now. We can go hunting if you wish to and then I can show you what a stinky is." After all she was unable to properly explain what a stinky was since she refused to give them names. It would be easiest for a wolf to be found and allow Vesper to sniff it out for herself and then make her own decision on the matter. After all Symera had been corrected on her word choice before but she refused to change her habit. She refused to think of wolves as anything but monsters that needed eradicating. That was the only way that she would ever feel about them because of what they had done. There was simply no changing her opinion just as she wouldn't be changing the way that she referred to the species either. |
