He waited patiently as she shifted herself into her quadrupedal form, she could take all the time she wanted and when she was finally finished his black tipped tail flicked from side to side briefly. He saw her frown and his expression changed to mirror hers. He understood what was about to happen a second or so before it actually did happen. The female lunged towards him with her fangs bared and the male tensed visibly but he didn't flinch or make any attempt to move out of the way. Her sharp teeth sunk into his fur and punctured his skin, slicing into the muscles of his shoulder. He gave her the satisfaction of hearing him yelp even if only quietly, he could give her that much.
And with that small bite her attack was over leaving a small trickle of blood on his fur. She had had her revenge now all that was left was to pick up the pieces of thier shattered relationship and attempt to glue it back together. It would take a long time to right the wrongs he had committed, helping her to clean up was the first in a very long list of attempts to make an right an act that was irredeemable.
