Anatoliy had not been approached with the assignment, mission, or whatever this was. He had simply heard of it from another and had found himself asking to go along. He had no ties to anyone who had been captured, aside from sympathies for the families affected. He had little to no stake in this and it was honestly strange to see him there. He was known to be a solitary creature. But his motives that night were purely to settle a debt to Niro. It was to apologize for the fight they had so very long ago. Niro's daughter was supposed to have been captured and it would be up to them to rescue as many of the prisoners of AniWaya as possible. He told no one of his intentions or why he volunteered for the job. It was simply a matter of telling the King that he was going. How could he refuse a willing raider?

The Russo knew that the distance between the two packs was large, and they had to travel in the dark. They would have to carry any of the injured, or the young, whichever. So, Anatoliy had gone to Anann to ask if he could take Rem with him for the mission. She had agreed, and the Russo made sure to speak with the dark stallion for his permission. Nothing would happen if that horse did not want to go. The stallion agreed and kept quiet the entire way there. There was a determination in the horse's appearance that was reflected in the rescuers' own. "Yes," he said clearly, eyes still peering out into the tribe's territory.
