The death of that guard was plotted, Rachel. My apologies, I should have mentioned it in the first post. Shaw, since Toliy is supposed to grab Foxglove and go, maybe a guardian can jump on Niro? c: Anu and any other prisoners are welcome to join in!

The dog King said nothing as Haven ran his sword through the stomach of the guard inside, and Vigilante moved into the cabin quickly and quietly. As he was stepping over the body of the fallen soldier, he realized that they had made a mistake in thinking they had not been seen somewhere along the way, though he found it hard to believe that the tribe had not attempted to intercept them before they had made it to the cabin and killed one of their trained guardians. Why they did not was a moot point, as now there were canines coming towards them that outnumbered them if they did not include the prisoners they hoped to save. Vigilante glimpsed Foxglove and Anu, as well as a few others not known to him. It was no matter—they wanted to fee them all.

Commotion near the door to the cabin drew the King's attention and he snapped his large head back to look at those entering, he watched as the guards separated his small group. Body tensed as jade eyes fell on the two coming at him now, one for his throat and one for his rear legs. The caramel-colored dog lowered his body into a crouch, snapping up as Wematin came closer, blocking his throat and moving his legs enough that the impact of the second guardian was weakened. He lunged sideways at the contact, feeling teeth graze his skin along his flank, snarling as he aimed to grab the underside of the first guardian's muzzle with the intent of grabbing on and holding it shut.
