It had been a long time coming and going but somehow the pygmy had found herself along the edge of lands she herself had once known so well. The highstrung black stallion snorted, stamping a hoove into the sandy ground as he watched his tiny canine companion brushing her fingers along the skull that marked the border of the clans lands. It had been a long time indeed but she wasn't certain of where she stood anymore.

Zana stood on her hindlegs, her forearms barely able to reach the skull posted high above on the spike. To any other the height would have been nothing, but the smallest of the Lykoi had been born with a terrible gift, or a curse, she still wasn't certain which. Her height was that of a youth barely out of puphood, her weight almost nothing no matter what form she took, and though for the most part she looked like a coyote in appearances, scarred and battered from her strange past. She was no child, often enough the mistake was made though.

At first glance she appeared to be a greyish hue, but that was just another strange falsehood. The small framed luperci pushed the wolfskin cloak off her brow, letting it settle onto her shooulders, reddish gold curls framing her small muzzle as she lifted her nose to the air to test the scents that lingered. Some she could recall, others she didn't know, and like too often some were missing. Her mind whispered, reminding her that til now hers too had been missing for far too long. She shook her head and sighed as the stallion let out a snort, reminding her of where she was.

Turning greyed lilac eyes back to the beast she called softly, "Aye, not much longer.." She hoped this was true, standing on the border reminded her bitterly of her size compared to the others of the clans and packs in the area. True, she had her ways to compensate for her lack of height and weight but first impressions always left her viewed as worthless, a runt among runts, though the truth was far from that though she let them believe what they wanted. She just hoped her own blood would turn a blind eye to what the world always saw on first glance.
