It wasn’t wise for the formful Lykoi to wander much off these days, when it was visible to all that she was soon to give birth to young ones. When the demon child had inhabited her young womb, he had been little but a humble swelling of her attractive figure. No siblings had accompanied him, but this time she would become mother to more than one child. Halo’s curiosity was much stronger than her worry. Of course she pondered how she was going to get through this when she had failed so miserably in the past, but she knew more now than she had done back then. At least she knew what was coming now, unlike back then. She knew the identity of the father, and knew that few children could be born with better genes.

But when her usual morning rituals were cast aside for the safety for her young, she had begun to walk. Walking away the day was an effective method for keeping in shape, and she could avoid those she did not wish to interact with. Questions were bound to come, but she preferred to avoid them as best she could. She would be a lone mother for the second time, but it wouldn’t be an issue this time. Halo wanted these children, and it thrilled her to know that these unborn souls inside her already were loved. It did happen that the woman thought of her firstborn son, but it brought nothing good. She couldn’t make amends for failing him, and he was to be killed at sight for his sins. However, Halo did hope Itachi was happy and well, wherever he was. It wasn’t something she would ever admit to anyone else, but she did.

The girl was both wolf and enemy, but her scent was disturbing alone, without her being able to decipher what was wrong. The sword accompanied the russet lady, though she did not yet think to reach for it. A cream gloved hand moved to rest against the wealthy bulge of her belly, and twitched unnoticeably as one of her children responded to the touch with a gentle bump from within.

Halo could choose to spit and curse, but didn’t. Although she was moving towards the end of her pregnancy, she still possessed the superior skills of a warrior and a hunter, and her steps had been silent as she closed in on the oblivious girl. The harmonic sound from the other was perhaps pleasant to listen to, but it made it easy for predators to close in with much more ease, without catching the girl’s attention. Dark nostrils flared as she detected the scent of the pack of close proximity led by her uncle. ”You could be dead, now,” the Infernian shared, peering down with scarlet hues. If she had been in a fouler mood, the girl could so quickly have lost her life. It wasn’t wise to let down one’s guards in no man’s lands.

Your faith walks on broken glass

Halo Lykoi
