Blood as sweet and red...
There was movement and noise all around him. It was pure chaos, and had Turnstone been less poetic of a creature, he might have found this daunting. While he didn't want to lie to himself and pretend this was all just a game, it was still horribly exciting. However, after his first brush with death, he wasn't going to be taking any chances. Like his comrades, he was walking on two legs and carrying a goedendag in his right hand. Essentially a combination of a club and a spear, it was heavy enough to be used as a blunt-force weapon, long enough to be used to fend off his attackers, and pointed and therefore perfect for stabbing. He had around his waist a piece of twine with a crudely-made axe and a few solid sticks in case he lost his goedendag.

He hung back to watch the action and find a place in it all. He saw Ehno glance up to the roof and Turnstone, too, followed his line of sight. There was someone up there firing arrows! Just as Ehno looked up, another wolf leaped from the building and swung its sword. Turnstone was so shocked that he stood there stupidly for a moment. Then, as an arrow nearly hit Ehno, he shook himself loose. He knew what he had to do.

He slunk around the fighting, hoping to avoid the AniWayans and their arrows and find a way up to the roof to remove the archer.
