Cambria had never been in such a constant state of fear as she had been ever since she had been taken from Crimson Dreams and brought to this awful place. The only thing that she took any courage or comfort from was the fact that she had her brother here staunchly defending her from the Guardians. Whenever one dared come near her, Gotham would growl and get between her and the AniWayan. The earned him abuse, and Cambria cried every time it happened. If only she had been captured with her satchel, but of course they would have taken that from her even if she had had it. Still, she did the best she could with the limited means to tend to whatever injuries her littermate gained in her defense and the abuse he had suffered before her abduction as well.
Today, as usual, she was huddled shivering in a corner of the cabin with Gotham beside her. There was a tension in the air though that made the hairs along her neck stand in fright. Something was going to happen today, though what it would be the Marino could make no guess at. Her brother could sense it too, and there was a restlessness about him even though he stayed beside her. One of the other prisoners had been taunting the Guardian that kept watch on them from the inside and had gotten hit because of it. Cambria felt sorry for her, but she was too timid to do anything. Time ticked by slowly, but then suddenly the Dreamer was shocked by the quick succession of events inside the cabin. The other female prisoner began to talk back to the Guardian again and then suddenly she sprung and attacked him. Then another prisoner helped in going after the man and the scene became a horror to the Medicus' eyes. Cambria began to cry and turned her face away from the fighting as she trembled. Gotham remained close by, but she could feel the tension in his body building, waiting for the right moment to spring into action.
