Set in the plains of the Shattered Coast, not far from CdM's borders.

Dresden had been camped out in the same forested area for long enough that he felt the need to let himself venture farther out again. The husky had spent the last few days heading farther west than he’d been before. He’d bypassed the crumbling human city at a leisurely pace. The area he and his stallion companion found themselves in consisted mainly of rolling plains, lightly decorated with trees and shrub-like growths. He had been continuing his westward wanderings that afternoon when he came upon a familiar scent. He pulled on Stranger’s reins to bring the horse to a stop and glanced around the surrounding area. It was the scent of a pack he had stumbled upon. It was not one he had ever visited before, but he had met a couple of canines that called this place home. The scent brought memories of his encounter with the woman in the human city and girl he’d met in the forest aspiring to become an archer. So this is where they’d come from, huh?

The warrior thought it would be best to keep his distance from the borders. All he needed to do was go around, and since he didn’t have much of an actual destination in mind, the extra distance to travel made no difference to him. And the farther away from the borders he went, the better; if that woman was anything to judge by, the whole pack could likely be on alert for potential threats. So all in all, it would be a much more pleasant trip if he didn’t have to meet another weary pack member. Dresden had sure as hell had enough of being accused for a kidnapper for one lifetime. So the man and his horse backtracked a little, putting distance them and the pack lands before swinging northward to try to circle around it.
