My first post too ^^ I was lucky to get the table before, like, my third joining post o.O

Nightkeeper sighed as the light went away. She didn't much care for the daytime, but she also hated it when she couldn't see. Soft darkness was nice; suffocating was not. She lay in her bipedal form on the forest floor, tail swishing as she pondered her unfortunate name choice. Who named a wolf puppy 'Nightkeeper?' She didn't like it, but, she thought, at least it was different.
Finally. The moon leaked a few pale rays over the horizon, lessening the pressure of the blackness slightly. It was still dark, and the smokey-pelted girl still could barely see, but at least the tops of the trees were visible and she knew she wasn't upside down. Nightkeeper lifted her head, but paused, pain and a bit of a thrill of fear racing from her ear and down her spine. One of her piercings was caught. Crap, she thought, swearwords beginning to surface in her mind. She tried to make as little noise as possible, just in case, but she knew that if it came to it, she could rip the ring out of her ear to escape. It would hurt, but she would be alive.
