Terra stretched out in the small den. She had a room in the hotel, but traveling had taxed her wound, so she'd taken shelter in one of the dens she'd prepared for winter. It was getting colder, and the small warmth provided by the den wasn't much. It was close to the borders as well, making her wary about completely dropping her guard. Her heat began to fill the small gap, stopping her shivering. Glad for the break Terra stuck her nose out, smelling the night airs.
A soft wind blew around, carrying scents from beyond the border. She could smell deer as they moved through the trees, and the crisp scent of pine. Overhead bats called as they flew on their nightly tasks. For once everything was peaceful, and Terra was grateful for it. During the day she moved without stop, putting herself in danger. When night came and she fell asleep though, it was difficult to wake her up. That made peace a deep want for her before she slept.
