Chione Keisari

ooc text. Private: Vesper and Helotes. Backdated to the 18th. Pictou river, between Halcyon Mountains and Salsola.

The wooden chariot creaked to a halt as the river bent came into view. The abnormal cloudless blue sky was surely deceiful; outisde was pretty chilly. Not that it really mattered for the chariot's owner and rider, as she hopped off the driver's seat and skipped her way to the brownish mule pushing the wagon-trailer. White palms petted the hosrt haired muzzle as the equine nsorted camly at the oh so familiar touch.

Orangeish-brown eyes stared into dark almond ones, a silent chit-chat between the two animals before they departed, big paws stirring the beast near a tree, where they parked the mobile. "Off ye go, Mora!" The short luperci allowed, tapping the female mule on the haunches. It trotted gladly for a while, and finally went to find a good patch of grass.

Chione, then, turned to the side of the wagon, unfurling the fabri and extending it with the help of two bamboo poleswhich were quickly fixed to the ground. A simple shelter from the open. Once that was clear, she went to the back, and opened the symmetric doors, the familiar scent of tea, incense and ashes filled her nostrils as she entered. Dodging mechanically the multiple things stored inside, she fumbled a bit to dig out a specific package. As the young Keisari removed the objects from the box, delicate chubby fingers rubbed against the smooth surface of the inked porcelain, numb claws tracing the multiple details on the patterns, Oh, how easily she began to wander back to the days with her pack, where she and the other young girls would serve tea to the elders.

Stop it, silly! No time for self-pity right now! Silly, silly, silly! The emepror dog shook her head furiously, as if those thoughts would be flailed away with the violent movements. Sure crafter's hands held the pot steady and safe the whole time, but now rested it and the rest of the set on a make-do wooden table. She picked a few firewood she kept well supplied (you never know!) and a small tinderbox. Once outisde, she set the wood pieces nice and carefully and worked out a small fire. As it grew, she brought out the tea set, an empty jar and small wooden bow with entailed cherry blossoms. The wandering femme left them all except for the jar, which she took along with her to the river.

The freezing cold water tickled gently at her big chubby feet, but she didn't mind it much. The black and white female filled her jar and went back, passing Mora on the way. She was greeted with a low neigh, but it was more than enough an awknowledgment. She made her way back, the fire already at full. Teapot filled and on the fire, she knelt down by the warm glow, closing her eyes as she waited for it to boil. Her things were nicely set in an overly organized manner in front of her, just waiting to be used.

As the girl waited, eyes closed, she let the sounds and smells fill her mind, every note of smells in the air, every note of sounds in the air, unconsciously searching for any sing of company. Tea was no fun with no one to share it with.
