Big Grin

He hadn't done an adequate exploration of the Cours des Miracles territory, a grevious wrong that Shandom intended to right immediately. After waking relatively early in the strange confines of his new room in the Hotel, the alabaster male, in his large Optime form, walked away from it rather briskly, head held high with purpose. It was the first time in a while he did something for a reason (though the reason was rather useless to the pack), and it gave the male great pleasure. Contrary to how he'd been acting, he wasn't a particularly lazy wolf. He was just... set in his ways. That was the right way to explain it. Set in his ways, a traditionalist, whatever. It all meant relatively the same thing.

Once away from the Hotel, Shandom picked a direction he'd specifically never ventured before. Soon enough he was surrounded by strangeness; it made his fur bristle and stance stiffen. Although he was a relatively new Luperci, the large male walked with poise, grace, and excellent posture. His back occassionaly hunched into a more feral stance, and he was certainly always prepared to resort to his wild nature, but Shandom had the strange fortune of being able to look like he'd been a Luperci his entire life. That is, until someone spoke to him. Once he was confronted about his shifting status (which wasn't particularly often, but enough), it was overwhelmingly evident that the male was just adjusting to this strange life.

The pads of his paws felt strange on this dark, rock like substance. Shandom glanced downward at it, perplexed: what the hell was it? Dark eyes darting around to see if there were anyone to notice what he was about to do (though only the right actually saw anything), he knelt down onto all fours (quite the more natural position, if you asked him) and sniffed the ground. It didn't smell particularly unusual, though it wasn't exactly right. There were little bits of sharp, clear objects every few feet - the male was unfortunate enough to step on a particularly pointy one, drawing blood from his soft pads. Fuck! he swore, rather loudly. It echoed through the streets, and Shandom was glad for no other presence.

Except... he could smell someone. Following the scent rather blindly, the white male wandered until he came upon a very small pup. Concern for both himself (he was never more uncomfortable than when he was around children) and the young one (what was someone that size doing alone in this strange city?) filled him: Shandom quickened his pace. They were closer to the ocean, and this gave him more cause for duress - what if this kid fell in? Hey! Hey, you! What are you doing all alone out here? the large male called, still a hundred or so yards behind the puppy. You're much too small to be out here! His long legs carried him to the youth rather quickly, and through narrowed eyes he examined the child. Definitely too small to be alone. Shandom could not help but wonder how his parents allowed him to stray so far.
