It felt good to have familiar faces around again, and Aemon couldn't help but grin in happy camaraderie. He offered a chuckle at Kastra's quip, shaking his head. It was true, though; Aemon thought that the woman was a fine specimen, despite her feisty personality. Able to read the subtext hidden in her words, the silvery Tirones grinned at his Captain's story. How benevolent of them, he returned, crimson gaze settling on her prizes with interest as they rummaged about. They really were fine horses; majestic and and uniquely royal. Aemon thought then, surrounded by equines, that he might do well to get one for himself, too.

Ithiel quickly cut in as Aemon finished his short speech about what he'd learned in his days in Inferni. At the question, Aemon's gaze quickly fell, and he hesitated, frowning. He's..." he started, the words sticking in his throat. "He's not here, he managed, swallowing heavily. With a deep sigh, he looked between them both with concern. Ezekiel doesn't know where he's gone, or if he'll even come back... he said, trailing off as he stood, rolling the spear between his hands anxiously. Again, he looked from Kastra to Ithiel, but this time his gaze stayed on his brother. I'm sorry, Aemon said to them both, rubbing at his face with a free hand before pushing back a stray cord of deep silver hair. Surely they were as upset as he had been -- and still was-- at the news. His gaze studied their faces, looking hopefully for signs that they might decide to stick around anyways, just in case. If their father decided one day to return, Aemon would be waiting.
