By the time the sun finally fell beneath the horizon, Sage did not immediately realize it. Even after such long hours spent meditating underneath the warm sun, there had been no trigger to pull her from that trance-like state, and she still craved that warm place. Here, she learned, she grew, she amazed herself, and got to know herself. These past trying months had made her weary, but today she had been strong for herself. Outside of her head, her stomach protested angrily, churning and gurgling for a meal. It wasn't until he came that she realized it.
The thud made her eyes flutter open and her head turn softly as her large ears rose high on her head. "Oh," she murmured softly, her posture relaxing at the familiar scent of Ichika. Sage stood then, stretching her limbs behind her for a moment before settling her gaze on her new company. He was a young man, maybe even close to her own age. "Hello-- er, namaste," she corrected, bowing her head slightly to her new packmate. She was still working on remembering that greeting; she liked the word, and it's meaning, but was already forgetting to use it. Brushing a few fallen leaves from her hair and clothes with a creamy hand, she pulled down on her skirt and looked at him with a persistent curve to her lips. Half-lidded golden gaze fell to the turkey, and her face turned curious. Noticing the thin-framed wolf's tools, she assumed it was a fresh kill. Her stomach rolled again, and she moved a hand to it. "Am I in your way, love?" she asked innocently, even though there was plenty of room.
