X'yrin made no effort to escort the lady towards either the vineyards or the Abbey, and Nayru looked up when she realized that they made no movement. The pleading tone of the warrior, searching for reason within her leader, was gone now and replaced by one that was almost chastising. No, Nayru was not simple or stupid. Naive at times, perhaps, for long after another woman would have recognized the changes that went on within her body it had been Razekiel to tell Nayru of her own condition. The realization had been startling, so much so that even now Nayru did her best to ignore the truth. To allow it to sink in and become tangible, become real, seem much too terrifying a feat.

And yet Nayru knew too that the problem would not go away. Even if she had wished to terminate the life within her by external forces the time was far gone for such measures. And Nayru could have never done that, it went against all Ichika no Ho-en held dear, life above all else. And what grew within her was innocent life at that, a creature in its purest form. So the lady had lingered between neither out right damning what was within, but neither did she fully recognize them for what they truly were. X'yrin refused to allow the piebald woman to ignore her own condition any longer, and Nayru decided, perhaps it was time to lay such childish antics to rest.

Yes, she needed a home. The cubs would need a home. Nayru thought of Gideon then, how glad he would have been to play father to what came forth from her, to provide them with warmth and food and whatever else was needed or wished for. For the first time in a long time her heart yearned for him, to return to Cerne Rise and be among her family again, but Cerne Rise stood empty as it never had before and Nayru could not go there. She did not wish to be alone in the weeks to come, and so weakly she merely nodded, confirming her assent to X'yrin offer. "Where do you live?"

They moved them, the Exultare woman unfrozen by Nayru's consent, although the stubborn Jiryu still walked on her own feet and did not allow the other to carry her. The little lady who was normally among the swiftest in the clan made slow progress, finding herself more weary than she would have thought. Idly she wondered if she were to be a burden or hindrance upon the woman who she leaned into now, for in the weeks to come surely Nayru would need more assistance than merely a walk through the lands. Yet if X'ryin had not wished to help, then she would have not offered. Nayru felt secure enough in giving herself over to X'ryin, but then a thought occurred to her that made her run cold. Her usual soft voice was softer than, and surely the woman beside her would have to strain to hear the question. "Saluce does not stay with you, does he?"
